ADVOCACY
NJTESOL/NJBE provides opportunities for the voices of teachers and ESL and bilingual students to be heard to make changes through alerts about legislation that will affect them.
SPRING CONFERENCE
This three-day event features keynote speakers, exhibitors, and workshops on ESL and bilingual education. You can choose the 2025 Spring Conference In-Person Conference – May 20, 21, & 22 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, New Brunswick OR the Video Library Conference – Access starting the following week.
2024-2025 PLC SERIES
PLCs will meet in the Fall, Winter, and Spring to build community among bilingual educators & discuss program types, language frameworks, lesson/unit development, and so much more! This year’s topic: Teaching Foundational Reading Skills to Multilingual Learners. Register here.
HOTLIST
NJTESOL/NJBE connects members through a very active e-mail discussion list for– employment opportunities, workshop and conference announcements, questions about state laws and standards, best practices, testing questions, and advocacy.
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is only $35 for one year or $59 for two with the benefits of participating in the hotlist and receiving the current Voices newsletter.
AWARDS & SCHOLARSHIPS
NJTESOL/NJBE gives awards for deserving 4th and 8th grade students, scholarships for high school and college students, a teacher in a Master’s degree program, a grant for a K-12 teacher and the new Barbara Tedesco award for a bilingual or ESL teacher and collaborating educator.

CHAPTERS
