CALL FOR WORKSHOPS

Online ConferenceSpring Conference 2020 – May 27, 28 & 29
Hyatt Regency Hotel, New Brunswick

NJTESOL/NJBE invites you to participate in its Annual Spring Conference.

  • Workshops & research may be submitted for presentation.
    Preference will be given to proposals that reflect the conference theme.
  • General Interest, Content Area Instruction, Bilingual/ESL Pre-K through 12 on all three days.
  •  Friday will also offer special strands: Higher Ed, Teacher Ed, Adult Ed, K-12 Administrators, Dual Language/Biliteracy.
  • With approval of their district, teachers may apply the time of the presentation to their 100 hour continuing education requirement.

  • We thank you in advance for your interest in participating in our conference and your diligence in completing the proposal form.

Please thoroughly review the NJTESOL/NJBE Presenter Guidelines before submitting your proposal.

 Each step MUST be followed.

  1. Submission: The workshop proposal deadline is November 15, 2019.
    • Proposals received after this date will not be considered.
    • Workshops are limited to only TWO presenters.  (List the presenters in the order in which name(s) should appear in conference book.)
    • You should receive an e-mail within a week after you submit your proposal acknowledging your submission. If you do not, contact the webmaster, webmaster@njtesol-njbe.org.
  2. Notification: On or about December 13, 2019
    • Each presenter will receive an email notification as to the acceptance or non-acceptance of your presentation on or about December 13, 2019. Please watch for this email.
    • A separate notification will be sent for each proposal submitted.
  3. Confirmation: Due January 4, 2020
    • Each presenter involved in a workshop must individually confirm using the proposal number that they still wish to present and agree to the day scheduled for their workshop by the January 4 deadline.  The proposal number and day are listed in the acceptance letter.
    • When you confirm, you will be given the option to choose how your payment will be made: Online with a credit card, by check or PO. This allows time for those paying with a purchase order to start the process buy xanax best pill online with your district.
    • It is imperative that you supply a personal email, rather than your school email. Your personal email will ensure that you receive communications from us as many districts have blockers set up.
  4. Presenters’ Registration & Payment of Fees: Due by March 6, 2020
    • Discounted presenter’s registration fees ($100) will be given for up to TWO presenters for a 75 minute workshop or demonstration. 
    • The registration fee for presenters who attend a second or third day will get a discount off the second and/or third day fee.
    • Presenters must register and submit payment (online, check or approved PO) by March 6, 2020 to qualify for these fees, or incur a $40 late charge. March 6th is the RECEIVE BY date.
    • If paying with a purchase order it is each presenter’s responsibility to notify your district of the deadline & late fees.  It is also your responsibility to follow up with your district so that your registration form and approved & signed  PO are MAILED together via regular mail to meet the received by March 6th deadline.   Please note that presenter’s registrations & payments received after the March 6th deadline run the risk of your workshop being cancelled.
      We DO NOT accept them by email or fax.
    • A one year NJTESOL/NJBE membership is a gift of the organization to all paid conference presenters. The year membership will start when registration is processed. If you are already a current member, your membership will be extended for one year from your current expiration date.

Please follow the 4 steps

  1. Submit proposal by November 15th.
  2. Look for notification of acceptance around December 13th.
  3. Confirm you still wish to present and the day(s) by January 4th.
  4. Register & pay by March 6th.
